Ask any of our transformation team members and they will tell you-the reason they love what they do is because they get to do it with the hardest working, most inspiring members. Once you become part of Phoenix Fitness, you become part of our family. There are countless conversations between team members on how we can push certain members to go further or how much we love other members for their hard work and determination.
We thought maybe it was time, because our members are always on our minds, that they should be on yours too! Introducing: Member Monday!
First up is Amy Suloff. Amy is one of those members that just lights up the room when she walks in. Don’t let that fool you though, when the Bodycombat music is on-she turns it up and totally transforms. Next time you see Amy give her a big ole high five-just make sure you’re not on the other end of her uppercut!
PF: What made you decide to start coming to Phoenix Fitness?
AS: I was so excited to join Phoenix Fitness because of the amazing instructors Marta has gathered to inspire each member. I have been to other gyms but nothing compares to the instruction we get here at Phoenix. Thank you, Marta!
PF: How often do you come to Phoenix Fitness?
AS: I try to make it to classes 4 days a week.
PF: Which classes do you take and do you have a favorite?
AS: I take Bodycombat, RPM, Bodypump and I just took my first Bodystep class (which I will now be adding to my schedule!) Bodycombat is my favorite; I love starting my week kicking some butt!
PF: What do you love most about Phoenix Fitness?
AS: Wow, I’m not even sure where to begin! I love so much about Phoenix Fitness. What really sets Phoenix apart from other gyms is the instructors. They all truly believe in the members. They know how to inspire and really cheer us on. Each instructor lives the Les Mills philosophy and knows all of the members at Phoenix Fitness. They call us out and motivate us when we need it most. I love the spirit of Phoenix-we truly are family. I never leave Phoenix Fitness with regret; I always leave feeling like I got an intense workout.
PF: What advice do you have for new Phoenix Fitness members?
AS: I greatly advise new members to try every class. I’ve been taking Les Mills classes for about 4 years and I still find new things and benefits of each class. Don’t be afraid to go out of your comfort zone. That is one of my biggest personal challenges in life, yet when I’m at Phoenix Fitness Tesi and Emma seem to find a way to inspire me to try anything.
PF: Outside of Phoenix Fitness what are your favorite hobbies?
AS: My favorite hobby is setting up themed meals and parties for my family. I just love it! We celebrate any and all occasions. So fun to see their faces light up when they come down in the morning. I also love shopping and traveling. Pretty much if it involves my family, it can be turned into a hobby and I will love it!
PF: Will you share something people at Phoenix Fitness might not know about you?
AS: I am married to my high school sweetheart. We started dating when we were 16!!! Another thing my fellow members might not know about me is that I am a cancer survivor. Even after 2 bouts of ovarian cancer God blessed me with my 2 daughters so it’s really hard to hate my body for the cancer when it was capable of giving me 2 miracles!
