Alyssa Salmon is the very definition of a hard worker. If you’ve had the opportunity to witness her in action during her GRIT session or in class you know that she enters the training zone like no one else. She has inspired her fellow GRIT team to add more weight to their bars or to get a few more reps in before time runs out. Alyssa is such a positive force in this world, her coaches and instructors constantly talk about how great it is to have her in class. She has also inspired her sister and friends into a healthier lifestyle, which makes her a real force to be reckoned with in the battle against globesity. We love Alyssa, we think you will too.
PF: What made you decide to start coming to Phoenix Fitness?
AS: I started coming to Phoenix because after Emma Tate introduced me to SWAT I was addicted to the motivation and determination the gym brought me. So of course when Phoenix opened I was joining no matter what!
PF: How often do you come to Phoenix Fitness?
AS: Right now I come to Phoenix twice a week for GRIT. I need to get in there once a week more for BODYCOMBAT! I miss it!
PF: Which classes do you take and do you have a favorite?
AS: I have taken BODYPUMP, BODYCOMBAT, BODYATTACK and CXWORX, but my ultimate favorite is BODYCOMBAT with Emma Tate!
PF: What do you love about Phoenix Fitness?
AS: My favorite thing about Phoenix Fitness is the motivating instructors and kind staff. They empower us as members to reach past our mental limits and achieve the transformation we strive for.
PF: What advice do you have for new Phoenix Fitness members or people curious about what we offer?
AS: Advice for new members: try all the classes, including GRIT. Don't be afraid to give it your all even if you don't know what you’re doing. Every member has been in your shoes and will only lend a helping hand. Phoenix Fitness is such a positive place to be.
PF: Outside of Phoenix Fitness-what are your favorite hobbies?
AS: Outside of Phoenix Fitness I enjoy spending time with family and friends, going to movies, rock climbing, doing charity runs, volunteering at SPCA and involving myself in fun new experiences.
PF: Share one thing people at Phoenix Fitness might not know about you.
AS: Members at Phoenix Fitness might not know that I am a manager at Ziingo Urban Asian and a full time business student at WMU. It is so difficult sometimes to get myself to the gym but I know that once I walk through the doors of Phoenix Fitness I am empowered to get the best work out in. Phoenix Fitness is truly one of a kind and I am so blessed to have such encouragement in my life!
