Michelle Brigman has a pretty great reason for not being on our current group fitness schedule, you’ll just have to read on to see why! Though she is sorely missed by all of us at Phoenix Fitness, we know when she is ready our members will be so happy to have her back-kicking their butts on the bike once again!
PF: How did you get started in Fitness?
MB: I've always been into sports and being active growing up, but as I've "aged", I realized it's more important to step up my goals before I step into "gain". I had joined Swat Fitness years ago and took on a personal trainer and then started to grow more interest from there!
PF: How did you choose Phoenix Fitness?
MB: EASY! The group fitness, but more importantly the group of amazing people that came with it!!
PF: What do you love about teaching?
MB: For me I found that I learned so much about myself teaching. I realized that being able to personally push others in class only in turn pushes me to drive harder! It's a sort of addiction being able to get the "fitness magic" through teaching Les Mills music and the drive and motivation it brings into our classes!
PF: What are a few of your go to healthy snacks?
MB: Right now I keep homemade trail mix on hand of unsalted almonds, walnuts, & dried cherries, also light string cheese and apples or cuties!
PF: Do you work outside teaching at Phoenix Fitness?
MB: Yes I'm a full time self employed hairstylist! Love my career!
PF: What are your hobbies outside of teaching at Phoenix Fitness?
MB: I love taking my dog Addison for walks downtown, and spending time with my hubby, family and friends....and just staying active in general. I'm a busy body. I don’t sit still very easily (Editor’s note: I think this is a common theme in all of our Transformation Team!)
PF: What is one thing people at Phoenix Fitness might not know about you?
MB: I'm a soon to be first time mom due Oct 2 and couldn't be more excited about it! I've unfortunately had to take a doctor ordered break from teaching RPM and vigorous exercise for a bit;...but it's all been worth it 100%. That being said, I CANT WAIT to get back onto an RPM bike and kick some booties along with my own to get back to my physical best!
